Doubled organic sign-ups for a D2C retailer in two quarters
Technical SEO rebuild, content programme, and analytics plumbing for a UK direct-to-consumer brand.
The brief: A UK direct-to-consumer brand had flat organic traffic for nine months. Paid was carrying the channel mix, CAC was creeping up, and the next budget review was unlikely to be friendly.
Where we focused
- Technical rebuild — server-rendered category pages, hreflang fixes, internal-link restructure, structured data on every product page.
- Content programme — 36 briefs across three intent clusters, written by two in-house writers we trained.
- Analytics replumb — server-side GA4 tagging, consent-aware conversion modelling, weekly review built into the merchandising standup.
Outcome over two quarters
- +118% organic sign-ups month-on-month at the end of Q2 versus the baseline.
- Paid spend down 18% on the same conversion volume.
- Three category pages ranking on the first AI Overview block for buying-intent queries.
The work was done with the in-house team, not around them. The brand owns the content calendar, the briefs, and the rebuilt analytics today.
